The poppy flower is a symbol of rememberance for most, but it is also a symbol of sustenance for HMoob families. When crops are not enough to feed their families, HMoob turned to cultivating the opium as a cash crop and supplement their livelihoods. The poppy was a necessary means to an end, but there is still beauty in it's blooming flowers.
